A snarl escaped Matthew’s full lips as he pushed aside a werewolf, this particular one annoying him quite a lot at this moment. The wolf blubbered his apologies after the king as he walked off, his long legs briskly moving him away of the pathetic wolf that had come before him not too long ago, speaking of what he thought the vampires were up to. But the man had no proof to back everything up. It was all just words, and no objects or anything that could prove that what he said was true. So all that the man had done was waste Matthew’s precious time, time that he needed to plan more, to learn what the vampires were really doing, working on his revenge on them. Someone wasting his time was something that Matthew most definitely did not enjoy, and it pissed him off to no end. Growling angrily, he continued to walk about the forest that marked their area. It was their haven, the place they could live without any annoyances from the humans, for the most part, and vampires. They were untouchable, or very nearly so, in their secluded home. Every once in a while, a human would venture into the forest for some reason or another. Usually, they were killed for happening upon the pack, their murder, although not necessary, providing entertainment for those werewolves that enjoyed killing of the humans. Not that Matthew had anything against it. He killed humans for the joy of it himself, although he usually left it to his subordinates. Sometimes, however, he just needed to vent the anger he held within him.
Kicking a nearby tree in his anger, he sighed after the deed. There was no reason to hurt the tree, something that helped to hide him and the packs under his jurisdiction. Running a hand through his dark brown locks, he looked around him. Someone who had not lived here for quite a while would probably believe themselves lost. However, Matthew knew the land well, and knew exactly where he was at, and it didn’t worry him that he would soon be crossing the imaginary border of human lands and werewolf lands. It’s not like the humans hadn’t seen him before. He had ventured beyond the forest upon several occasions. It was a good thing, too. Sure, they could kill the animals that lived about the forest, but then there were the worries about overhunting, and depleting the population, causing the humans about the town to worry, and then investigate the problem, which would lead to them finding the werewolves. Something that would not be good. No, the werewolves had to go into the human world as well, to eat, to buy clothes, and to go to their job, for how else would they pay for things.
Another sigh escaped Matthew’s lips as his eyes brushed over the town on the fringe of the forest as he approached it swiftly. He just needed to get out of that damn place, away from that damn werewolf that had wasted his time. He briskly exited the forest and continued into the land of the humans, his walk just slightly slowed down, becoming a brisk walk for a human. He quickly slipped through the area, his path twisted around to end up at the park. He didn’t know where he had been going, but he simply just ended up here. Sighing, he slowed even further down to a walk, his legs taking him down a small path that winded its way around the park. Dark brown eyes surveyed the humans around him, regarding them with a cold look. He hated humans. So why was he surrounding himself with them? Because he had nothing better to do. Sometimes, he just wanted to get away from the people that he knew. Maybe get himself acquainted with someone knew. Finding himself near the playground, he sat on a swing, his slender arms easily wrapping around the chain that secured the seat, his legs kicking off from the ground, causing him to start to swing slowly. Not too long after he had sat down then he heard the sound of someone sitting on the swing next to him. He looked up and blinked at the person sitting there, surprised that someone would so easily approach him. He knew that he was probably giving off cold, untouchable vibes. But that was normal, in any case.

The blue eyed princess sat on her queen sized bed. Teddy bear in her lap, she began to doodle on a piece of scrap paper she had found. If you haven't noticed, she was bored. And that was not easy for Brietta. Still in her black, silk night gown, that probably looked more like lingerie then sleep wear, she got up and proceeded to get dressed. She skipped over to her closet and took a black and pink Lolita styled dress off of the hanger and set it on her bed. The next one she took out was electric blue and black. It looked more like a punk Lolita style. After minutes of examining them, she decided to ask Teddy. You see, Brietta was not one for making up her own mind. She had servants for that. "Teddy, which would look better today?" She asked in her normal, high-pitched voice. Teddy, of course, said nothing. "Ugh, You're no help, you silly bear!" She giggled. Looking over the dresses one more time, she picked the black and pink one.
She hung the black and blue dress up and then got on her knees, looking for her ballet flats in the closet. After a moment, she pulled out a pair of brand new flats with a pink ribbon on them. They weren't the ones that the princess was looking for, but they would do. Scampering over to her drawer, she pulled out a pair of black and white, striped stockings out of it. Now she was ready to get dressed. She pulled her night gown off and threw it into a pile of other dirty clothes that the maid was supposed to get earlier, Hmm, Brietta would have to consult her about it later.
She stepped into the dress and pulled it on. Her stockings were the next thing to go on her body. She then put her flats on and tied the ribbon into a bow. Her hair was curled and had pink ribbons in it. She looked just like a porcelain doll, even down to her skin tone, which was a pale white color. The teachers were always worried about how pale she was, thinking she was sick. Which would make most vampires ignore the teachers. Why? Because if you thought someone was sick, you felt their forehead, yes? Well, it would alarm the teachers if they were cold and didn't have a pulse, ya know?
But thats where Brietta was different. She was half human. She still thirsted for blood, but she could go without it longer. Every bit as immortal as a real vampire, only she had blood, and a pulse. Pretty cool eh? It's like a foot in both worlds. Brietta might be half human, but she hated the humans with everything in her. Werewolves too! Oh! Don't get her started on those mangy mutts.
She tippy-toed down the stair ways of her house so no one would hear her leave. Why? Because! That made it all the more fun in Brietta's little head. But, we are talking about Brietta...who finds throwing pine cones at jell-o fun. She began walking towards the gate watchmen, who saw her emerge from the castle door.
They gave her a small salute, of which Brietta didn't seem to notice. If there was one thing her father taught her, it was to show no weakness or friendliness to the ones who are below you, so that's just what Brietta did.
She began to walk down the road that led to a very complex sewer system. Why would a girl like Brietta be going to the sewer system? Well, it was her way into the human world, and she was feeling a little hungry. Not that she would eat today or anything, but being Brietta, she might just convince someone to let her whore them. And after that, Everyone would be happy. Why? The guy gets laid and Brietta gets to eat.
Now, back to the complex sewer system. There were many openings and ways into the human world, but Brietta took the one she liked most. The one that led to the park. She made her way out of the hole without anyone seeing her.
Taking a deep breath of air and inhaling the scent of the humans, she caught another scent. A scent that made her wrinkle her nose. Not because it smelt bad, but because it was the scent of their mortal enemies.
Step by step, she walked up to the werewolf and jumped back. "Be careful, Teddy. I'm not sure if he's has his rabies shots yet." She spoke to her teddy bear. She gave a cocky smile to the mutt and began to talk.
"Aren't mutts supposed to have collars and leashes on at all times?" Brietta hissed. Not knowing she was talking to the king at all. ----- Word count: 805 Notes: Eh. Not as good as I wanted. Other: Brietta is quite the little bitch.

Matthew hadn’t planned on becoming the king back when he discussed what the werewolves should do to get revenge on the vampire king and his little vampirettes. He had simply wanted to state what he thought they should do, and let a higher up take control. But it had all turned around. No sooner had he stopped talking then the wolves were all babbling at him, nearly begging him to lead them. He rejected the idea several times, not wanting the job at all. But he figured that whoever was to lead them might not like his ideas, and decided to accept the post. Now, more than ever, was he glad that he had. They were progressing with their plans beautifully, and he couldn’t be happier. Well, he could, when he stood within Shi Falls, having successfully invaded the vampire haven and extracted his revenge against Teneberes. But that was beside the point.
His dark brown eyes flicked around him as he crossed the border, careful to make sure that there weren’t any humans present around the area. Well, not too many, anyways. Humans did frequent into the forest, usually on a dare, or because they wanted to prove the gruesome tales wrong. But it wasn’t often that one came out, unless they had chickened out and had stepped back before they got in too deep. However, the fewer humans saw him exit the forest, the better, for it helped to keep suspicions off of him. And the fewer suspicions there were, the better everything was, for then nobody, or nothing would follow him back to the forest and find out what really went on. And that he didn’t have to go to the apartment that he rented for appearances sake. It sucked that they had to put up this façade of living as normal humans, for it was tough work. The humans’ first instinct upon meeting one of them was ungrounded fear. They were frightened by them, and they had no reason, and they had to convince the humans that they were as normal and human as the rest of them, although it wasn’t true. Normal was far from the word used to describe them.
Matthew had to restrain himself, as he walked through the park, to rip the sickenly sweet human couples apart. It wasn’t that he didn’t believe in love, for he did, he was just skeptical of it, and he definitely didn’t believe that teenagers as young as some of this should be acting as if their lips were glued together. Sure, they could date and see if any of these people were the one for them, but there was always time when they weren’t, and the couple broke up, and people acted as if it was the end of the world. It was stupid how easily they tricked themselves into thinking that whoever they were with was ‘The One’ and that they couldn’t ever be separated from one another. It was disgusting, and stupid.
Rolling his eyes, he bypassed those couples, fists clenched slightly as he did so, restraining himself from any public display of anger and annoyance. It was times like these that made him really hate humans. How stupid and pitiful they were, not to mention how annoying they were. His feet scuffed the path as he walked down it, his brown eyes looking down at it until he was sure he was past all of the benches that various couples were seated at. He didn’t want to have to look at them, and he wouldn’t. Sure, there were still the odd couple around, but there were less of the glued-at-the-lips kind, and more of the happy-family kind about, trailing screaming little kids. Matthew winced as the high-pitched sound reached his ears. Being a werewolf meant having heightened senses, and, in this case, it pissed him off to no end, sometimes.
Matthew quirked an eyebrow up at the girl as she spoke to the teddy bear in her arms; how childish. He sneered at the vampire as she looked at him and addressed him directly. ”The only rabies I’d contract would be from a biter like you,” he said coldly. Normally, he would be nice and polite to a female. However, this was different. This was a vampire female, besides, he was hardly ever polite to someone who was rude to him in the first place, as she had been. He supposed that, by her tone of disdain and annoyance that he had no clue to whom she was talking. However, that was a good thing in this case. The fewer vampires that knew about him, the better. He didn’t want to have all the vampires knowing of him and his plans to rise once again. ”Very funny,” he noted sarcastically. ”Shouldn’t biters be muzzled when they’re around tempting things?” He inquired with another quirk of his eyebrows. He doubted that anyone was listening in on their conversation, but biters was a much safer term to use for the vampire than bloodsucker. Should anyone be listening to their conversation, biters was less conspicuous, and they wouldn’t think too much of it, most likely. Besides, it fit with his comeback.

”The only rabies I’d contract would be from a biter like you,” This comment made Brietta chuckle. "Silly little puppy, don't you know that I'm not around mutts so I couldn't contract rabies. Unlike you." She spat. Brietta did not like being around these disease carriers, but she wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to make fun of one or to piss one off. It was always quite fun to see their faces and to watch them angrily throw comments at you. Most of the time, they didn't know who the hell they were talking to. Not many of the newer werewolves knew who Brietta was. Hell, most of them didn't even know who her father was.
”Very funny,” The wolf said, making a child like smile come to Brietta's face. "I know." She said. Her voice full of cockiness. ”Shouldn’t biters be muzzled when they’re around tempting things?” Brietta put her hands on her hips, gripping teddy with one hand, letting him dangle. "Shouldn't mutts keep the stupid comebacks to themselves when they don't know who the hell they are dealing with?" Brietta hissed. She hated that he was giving her a comeback that should only be used for the stupid mutts like himself. The child like tone in her voice was gone. Her voice dropped into a monotoned, demon type sound.
Brietta dropped one arm to her side and shifted her weight on one of her legs. "So, how's king Fido or whatever you mongrels call him. Oh! And his puppy!" Brietta asked, the child like tone was back in her voice. She had no idea that she actually was talking to the king of the werewolves. She figured that he was a hunter or a warrior. He really wasn't what she expected for a king. But, that is because she had a brick wall for a father. She hated his daughter with an intense passion. They went to school together and had gotten into a few fights. Being in different cliques didn't make them the best of friends. Well, that and throw on the fact that they were born mortal enemies.
Brietta smoothed out her dress and then sat down in the grass a little ways away from the dog. No way in hell she was going to leave him. She was itching for a fight, and killing a werewolf was something she hadn't done in a while. seven years to be exact. Setting Teddy in her lap, she wrapped her arms around the little bear and sighed. Today was such a boring day. Brietta hated boring. But if she could piss off this werewolf, it was make her day.
The wind blew a little bit, making the smell of the humans spread towards Brietta. Trying her hardest not to give in, she turned the other way. There was no denying that the vampiress was hungry by the way her eyes were starting to get a red edge to them, making her look like she had missed a few days of sleep. But once the redness got worse, she would have to feed, or she would kill any human who came in contact with her, weather she liked it or not. --- 550 words. MUSLESSSS

Matthew raised an eyebrow at the girl as she spoke. ”Well, with how stupid and mad you seem to be acting, I wouldn’t be surprised if you had it. To be complete, you’d have to be frothing at the mouth, yes? Ah, is that a little bit of drool at the edge of your mouth?” His eyes widened in fake surprise as he spoke. Stupid girl probably didn’t actually know about rabies at all. She probably didn’t know the true symptoms, and most likely thought that only species of the Lupus Genus could contract the virus, as well as humans. It was a funny thought. Frankly, he wouldn’t be surprised if vampires were able to contract it. Hey, both bats and humans could contract the virus, so why couldn’t vampires? They seemed to be some odd combination of humans and vampire bats, so it worked, did it not? ”Those with rabies often act differently. So why else would you, a blood sucker, be speaking with a, as you called me, mutt such as myself?”
Matthew rolled his eyes at her cocky attitude. Of course she would be cocky. Why shouldn’t she? He knew who she was. How could he not, with his own daughter complaining of this girl every single school day? The daughter of the vampire king was who she was. He could see why his daughter didn’t like Brietta, should he be remembering her name right. ”Shouldn’t blood suckers stay silent when they can’t come up with a good comeback? Especially when they seem to not know who they’re talking to. Don’t be mistaken, I have a feeling I know exactly who I’m talking to,” he told her with a smirk, not caring that her tone was cold, one that he was sure some of the younger wolves would run from, tail between their legs. Well, figuratively, unless they should be in their wolf form. However, it didn’t scare him, not one bit. He didn’t even flinch at it.
An eyebrow rose as her comment, Matthew trying hard to prevent the corner of his mouth form curling into a half-smile. Fido. Was that what the vampires called him these days? Or was that simply her word for them. ”Ah, he’s pretty good. I think, however, that he’s growing gradually amused at the vampires,” he replied with a smirk. He wondered if she would even get his message, if she would understand that he was speaking of himself. For some reason, he doubted it, for she seemed to be quite dense. Then again, she probably wouldn’t think him to be king simply because of his body type. He was slender, not one that you would suspect could be as strong as he was. But that was a thing that came with being a werewolf. He knew that Teneberes was bigger and bulkier than he was, so to any vampire, he probably didn’t seem to be that much of a king. Wouldn’t surprise him. ”And as for the, as you said, puppy, I do assume that she is good as well. At least she was the last time I saw her.” And it was true. The girl had been good upon last sight, which had been this morning, shortly before that one werewolf wasted his time.
Matthew watched, amused, as Brietta moved away from him, but still within hearing distance. ”For someone who seems to hate me so much, you sure are staying close to me. And here I was thinking I was finally rid of you. Pity,” he commented to her, his smirk still in place as he lightly kicked off the ground, causing the seat he was sitting on to swing slightly, his brown eyes on her. She was a stupid girl, if you asked him. Staying near him when he could easily dispose of her, should she really piss him off. He had been in a bad mood already when he came to the park. He was surprised that he had been able to keep such a level head with her comments. Then again, he supposed the stupidity of them prevented his temper from getting the best of him. He wouldn’t be surprised.
His eyes narrowed slightly as he noticed her look in the direction from which a distinctly human smell came. ”You’re hungry,” he growled slightly in annoyance. Just what he needed, a hungry vampire on his hands. Not that she would even go for him, him being a werewolf and less tasty than a human by her tastes, he was sure. However, vampires were quite the assholes around their feeding time, he had learned when he actually came in contact with them. And this one was a female, which would only make it worse. His lip curled into a sneer. ”I told you that biters such as yourself should be muzzled when around things that tempt you. Don’t get any funny ideas. It’s better here than it is back there, currently, and I would rather not have to leave because you’re hungry,” he snarled. It was true, he was definitely having a better time right now than he was back home. And should she kill a human, he would have to flee, for he had been near the scene of the crime, and probably would be a witness, unless she dragged the human elsewhere before feeding. And he wasn’t keen on fleeing. Especially since he would probably have to go to that stupid apartment of his, just in case some human had seen him around, and told the police about it. Great. He’d have to stay there for a couple of days, too, should she feed. Something he did not want to do. ---------------------------------- tags: brietta/open words: 948 notes: definitely getting better =] just got a lot of matthew muse xD not to mention I thought of a pretty decent comeback xD I such at comebacks sooo much x] sorry for the wait, luff <33 [/blockquote]

"Well, with how stupid and mad you seem to be acting, I wouldn't be surprised if you had it. To be complete, you'd have to be frothing at the mouth, yes? Ah, is that a little bit of drool at the edge of your mouth?" Brietta snickered at him and said "I think I got it from you, being you aren't up on your vaccines." She was having alot of fun attempting to annoy this dumb mutt. She pushed a lock of two-toned black and blonde hair and tucked it behind her ear. The petite vampiress smoothed her dress out and pulled in down a little bit.
" Those with rabies often act differently. So why else would you, a blood sucker, be speaking with a, as you called me, mutt such as myself?" "Boredom." Brietta said with a bored sigh. She grasped teddy a little tighter and crossed her arms. She was bored with this dog. He didn't seemed to be able to come up with any good comebacks. That's not to say that Brietta could. But everything was perfect about herself in Brietta's mind.
"Shouldn't blood suckers stay silent when they cant come up with a good comeback? Especially when they seem to not know who they're talking to. Dont be mistaken, I have a feeling I know exactly who Im talking to," Brietta let out a cold chuckle. "Then I'd suggest you watch your mouth, being you know who you're talking to." She unfolded her arms and placed one hand on her hip. Shifting her weight to one side of her body.
"Ah, he's pretty good. I think, however, that he's growing gradually amused at the vampires," Brietta tilted her head to the side.. "Ah, yes. I've always found Vampires an amusing species," She chuckled. It was the truth. Well, maybe..not really. It just seemed like a fitting comeback for the young vampiress, I guess. It still never crossed her mind that he was the king. She walked over to him and tilted her head. "Tell the king to feed you a little more, you look kind of scrawny." When Brietta sat in the grass a little ways away from him, he said something.
"For someone who seems to hate me so much, you sure are staying close to me. And here I was thinking I was finally rid of you. Pity" Brietta turned around and raised an eyebrow at the dog. "I wouldn't give you the pleasure of getting rid of me, dog." every word had a child like ring to it except for the word "Dog."
"You're hungry," Brietta smiled. "You're a smart one. aren't you? You want a treat?" She asked, making a clicking sound that most dog owners used to call their dogs. "I told you that biters such as yourself should be muzzled when around things that tempt you. Don't get any funny ideas. It's better here than it is back there, currently, and I would rather not have to leave because you're hungry"
Brietta laughed, long and hard. "You really think that'll make me leave. Why would I leave a place full of people when I'm hungry?" she hissed. It was shocking how dumb the mutts could be. It was full of people and she was hungry, wouldn't this be a good time to eat? ____ Words: 551 Sorry it sucks. I have had NO Bri muse for a longlong time.

Matthew once again resisted rolling his eyes at the naïve vampire girl. Really, he expected more from the princess. Expected the girl to be perhaps crueler than she was. He had heard much about her from Joliesa, and expected her to be a much worse person. But really, she was quite pathetic, if you asked him. He simply went with raising his eyebrows instead of rolling her eyes. ”You don’t get rabies by simply being near one that is infected with such, you silly little girl,” he replied with a smirk. ”Therefore, you must be the one with the rabies, and not from me.” Okay, so maybe he wasn’t that good at comebacks on this day, then again, he hadn’t been in the best of moods since the werewolf had wasted his time, and had probably depleted all the creativity for making any good comebacks when the man had done as such. Damn, being pissed off sucked, if you couldn’t make up good comebacks.
Dark, thick eyebrows catapulted up on his forehead once more at her reply. What a lame answer, really. Boredom. Yeah, that explained anything. ”No vampire in her right mind would talk to a wolf out of sheer boredom,” he pointed out to her, tilting his head to the side in curiosity. Although she wasn’t the most pleasant character he had met, and not one he would opt to hang around with, she was most definitely interesting. Besides, he might be able to get somewhere in his plans with her. She might reveal something that she wouldn’t mean to. Something that would be vital to his plans. Of course, not revealing himself to her would be the best approach to do such a thing. Well, not revealing who he was within the ranks of the wolves.
Matthew chuckled lightly at her simple reply. ”I don’t think I’ll need to. I can handle myself just fine against one like you. You’re not that special, no matter what you think, little girl,” came his cold reply, a smirk lifting the corners of his mouth. Of course, he continued to doubt that she knew who he was, and he definitely could handle himself against her. He didn’t spend the time since he had become fully grown for nothing. He was fast and strong, though one probably wouldn’t believe as such due to his slender frame. Hell, he was pretty sure he could hold his own against the vampire king, no matter that he was skinnier than Teneberes. If the vampire princess wanted a fight, she’d get it. And her ass beat like a child such as her deserved.
He nodded along with her. ”He’s growing extremely amused by one vampire in particular, although it is said that it’s not the one we all think of.” Having decided that he would attempt to wrangle something out of the girl, he would stop dropping too obvious hints that he was truly the vampire king that he spoke of, and stopped acting as if he were within the inner circle and would know exactly what the king thought of things. Putting such an idea in her head wouldn’t be the greatest. Then, perhaps, she would get ideas of using him. Although, that obviously wouldn’t work, either. He knew better than to let her do such a thing. ”How is your king, in any case? Well, I assume. However, I’m sure he is somewhat vexed with us, I would guess.” A smirk crept upon his lips at her remark. He gave a lazy, taunting salute. ”I’ll be sure to send the message along, ma’am. Although I assure you that I’m fed just fine. I’m simply naturally scrawny. I’m sure the king would agree with myself.” Okay, so he still dropped slight hints to his identity, but not one as strong as previous ones, nor as much as he could have made. Besides, it was still amusing to see that she’d no clue of his identity.
”I can see that, but at the same time, I’m sure it’s torture for you to be sitting in my presence still. Why subject yourself to such agony? I’m sure you have much better things to do on this lovely day.” Really, this was a fun game to him. Taunting her, and yet not. Although she was a vampire, she was a lady, and he still had his morals, and he was never too cruel to a lady, although he let himself go more with the vampires than any others. He knew better than to do such a thing. Although, he broke his own morals a while ago, but that was besides the point. But this was fun, being polite, and yet his sly words weren’t exactly the nicest ones ever.
”Mm, no thanks. I’ll just live with the satisfaction that my statement was correct, although I never doubted its validity,” he replied to her easily, kicking off from the ground slightly, the swing moving slightly back and forth as he watched the vampire with a gaze that couldn’t be deciphered, though it was something similar to one of disgusted interesting, with hints of other things. Then again, what one person could correctly decipher his golden brown gaze? He resisted again rolling her eyes, this time at her clicking sound. Really, it was quite immature of her to make such a sound. ”I never said that I really thought it would make you leave. In any case, there are other places that are full of humans for you to feed on. Places such as the mall. In fact, I’m sure there are more there. And I’m sure you can find a more secluded place there to feed on someone than you could within this great big expanse of park. The forest won’t do too much here, I assure you.” Really, it wouldn’t. The wolves controlled the forest, and he could easily just find another place to dispose of the body to frame her, or another person, more. It’d be quite simple, with the shadow of night on his side, and the ability to shapeshift. Oh, the glories of being a werewolf.
