"But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world, somehow I have to find." The words mumbled out of his head, a far cry from the song that was playing within his head as he stumbled off of the trail and found himself face to face with the bark of a tree. His tenor voice was thick and rich, but slurred with the chemical substances within his body. He really hadn't thought that he'd drank that much. Normally having a few cocktails barely touched him.
He stayed leaned against the bark for a minute, trying to get his bearings back before he placed his hand against the rough surface, pushing a little harder than he meant to. The sudden movement caused the world to shift and he found himself flat on his back, staring up at the night sky. The air was knocked from his lungs and he hit his head hard enough to see spots around the edge of his vision.
"Shit." The world still wanted to spin on him. What the fuck had he had to drink again? He knew that he hadn't done any drugs that night, but he sure as shit felt like he had. It had been a long year for him, but he had been trying to get off of the substances. Trying to end the addiction he had had. It was not the easiest thing with the company that the man kept, but he was trying. Hell he'd been doing pretty damn good for himself until this moment.
He could feel a light burn on the right side of his face, his shoulders and the back of his head. Must have been where he hit the tree and concrete sidewalk. Nothing too bad. He barely felt them. It took a lot to actually make the man cringe. To feel any pain long enough to cause a change in his demeanor. This was nothing. But a part of his brain was concerned with how little he was feeling.
He'd hardly noticed when his head hit the tree and the ground.
His lips turned into a frown, breath making a cloud of fog over his head. His head was covered with a black knit cap, keeping his ears safe from the cold air. He had on a thick ski coat and a nice pair of fingered gloves. Meant to keep him warm. His feet were stuffed into boots that were supposed to protect his toes from temperatures in the negatives. Prime survival gear he had found for the weather in the Motherland. His legs however only had a pair of jeans on them, and the cold started to seep into his bones from that point.
He realized that he had been in a daze. He had been laying there breathing. Fuck. This was bad. He needed to get the hell away from where he was.
But where was he again?
He tried to move his arms. It took a minute before he could remember where they were. He put them to the ground and pushed upward so he was sitting. The dots came up around the sides of his eyes once again. That was probably bad. He was not certain he could make it from where he was to the hospital. Probably would land him in jail or some rehab program again if he went in.
He grimaced at the thought. He had been in and out of both over the years. They never were any help. He did have to say that the way things were done in Europe were far better than the States however. They sure knew how to take care of people.
He turned his head back and forth slowly, making certain to avoid quick movements. It was late. He seemed to be in the middle of some park. There was a park in this city right? He barely remembered. That was all a bad sign right?
Damn. With his luck he was going to freeze to death out in the snow because he decided to head home rather than stay at that party. His reasons for leaving were good. Things were getting shadier than he wanted to deal with. And yet now he was the one who was going to die?
How the hell did that work?[/color]

A young man going through his closet looking at the man different clothes he owns, looking for something to help keep him warm on a cold night out at the park. A dark blue sweater caught his attention, he reached for it carefully pulling it off the hanger. He slowly shut the closet door and walked into his small one person bathroom and stops to look at himself in the mirror. He quickly threw off his white v-neck t-shirt and threw it in a pile of clothes, he turned and looked at his physique. "Not much has changed, no matter what I do," his deep voice says to himself as he rubs his hands on his body. He put on the blue sweater and then grabbed his navy blue sweat pants and put them on top of his white boxer briefs. He ran down out of the room and out the door of his apartment building, down a flight of stairs and out the front door. The young man walked out the front door slamming it behind him to make sure the door latched shut and headed straight for the park to start his evening jog around.
As he was jogging on the path towards the middle of the park feeling the wind blown against his face and body making it feel as if his problems are behind him. Granted the cold felt cold but did affect him much. As he jogged he heard a noise coming from the trees. All of his normal instincts told him not to go but his curiosity got the best of him and he walked towards the noise. When he found what made the sound he stopped to wonder is this a drunk or someone who got mugged. His humanity got the best of him and he knelled down, and asked, " Are you okay? Do you need any help?"

Boy he really wished he knew what was going on. Why he felt like the world was spinning. He only remembered having two beers and that one cocktail. Though he couldn't remember ordering that drink. Or who brought it to him. He just remembered that it tasted pretty damn good and he had enjoyed it. The problems staying on his feet started around then and people got a little more rough than he cared for. Kiritan usually had no trouble with people feeling him up, trying to get him to bed, but not when he was like this. Not if he had a say about it.
When the other guy came along and knelt near him, trying to speak with him, it took almost a full minute before he could register that he wasn't alone. Someone was there? Somebody was going to actually try to help him so that he didn't freeze to death? He turned his head toward the other young man, but that wasn't all that moved. He shifted one gloved hand from the ground where it was supporting him, up to touch against the side of the other guy's face. The gesture was soft, a small caress. Well hell, he was real!
His lips turned up at the edges, a smile that was almost childish with the drugs that were running through his system. "I'm not dreaming." His tenor voice was slurred, but there was a deep tone to it. The sort of sound that was kept usually in the bedroom.
Kiri was not known for respecting the personal space of others. Something that one day was going to get him killed. Hopefully that wasn't tonight and his wayward savior wouldn't either end up hurting him or running off because of this.
Since his hand was already on the other man's face, it just slipped further back, around his ear so the fingers could slide through his hair. Kiri leaned forward with better precision than someone would expect from a person in his condition and set his lips softly against the other man's. It wasn't a very long kiss but it lingered longer than a moment before he pulled back just an inch.
"I'm Kiritan, but everyone calls me Kiri..." He hadn't even stopped to think that this guy could be straight. Could be some psycho serial killer. Nope.
Right then he just loved the fact that someone was going to keep him from dying from the cold.

Jase was at first shocked that the fact this man is touching him on the side of his face. Not sure whether or no he should back off or remove the man's hand from his face. Too late the man reached up and pressed his lips to Jase's. Jase shocked didn't know what to do at first so many emotions ran through his head. "should I kick his ass off me or should I just walk away and not help him," Jase asked himself.
When he pulled away Jase was lost, he didn't know what to say. His gut told him to be polite and introduce himself but at the same time he wanted to smack the guy. "Hello, my name is Jase. Do you live around here," Jase asked as he still didn't know if he should be helping this stranger know as Kiritan or Kiri. Giving in he began to lift up the man smelling the booze and the light smoke smell off his body.

He would have reacted oddly to a smack, and probably laughed when the other guy was kicking his ass. Part of it was whatever drug was going through his system and the other half was just him. He didn't mind it if someone beat him up. Hell, part of him actually got off on the idea. Why else would he have done some of the things he had in his life? There were some really twisted people out there who had enjoyed using him as a toy. Sure wasn't easy to break him.
Jase. He hoped that he'd remember the guy's name to find him and thank him for helping later on. It wasn't the easiest thing to remember then. The world still had those funny colored sparkles about the edges and he was having trouble feeling where his legs and body was. Was that one of the signs that you were freezing to death? He wished that he could remember. He really and truly did.
He let out a very girlish scream when the other male started to lift him onto his feet. He turned his body toward the other man's instinctively, grasping him for all that he could while his legs were flailing to get underneath him. The sparkles were brighter and his head felt funny. Damn. Maybe he had hit it too hard. Eventually his feet found their way and didn't slide out from below him.
However he wasn't letting the other guy go anytime soon, just in case he landed himself on his ass again. "Yanno. I wish I knew that. I haven't the faintest idea where the hell I am, or where I live..." He turned his head so he could look up at the other guy. "And I don't know if I can walk without help either..." He stared a little longer at him before a large grin found its way across his features. "Yer pretty damn cute. Seeing anyone?"

Jase freaked out when the guy started to scream in his ear, Jase almost dropped the man back on his ass. Using his left head he made a failed attempt to cover his ear without success. Jase kept a hold of the drunken person but the moment he was faced to face with this person; he didn't know how to react to the situation with this man looking him in the face.
Jase felt sorry for the drunk not knowing where he is or where home is. Jase wanted to to invite him over but at the same time he doesn't know this person at all. "Alright man you can stay at my place for the night, but in the morning you will have to see about a way home since I don't have a car?" Jase completely ignored the second question if he was single or not; Jase feels his private life shouldn’t be shared with complete strangers who he didn't know no matter how drunk they seem to be.
Jase kept the mans weight on his shoulder and the continued down the path which Jase came from.

He had no idea who or what this guy was. The world moved faster than he was ready for, so the scream was reflexive. What else was he going to do when the world suddenly shifted all about him? It was insane to think that he could just sit there and do nothing about it. Right? Course he was.
Thankfully he had gotten his bearings so he could stay on his feet without falling right down onto his ass. He was usually not this clumsy. He had been one with an unusual amount of grace. Dodging away from the feet of people his mother worked with helped with that. Usually they were nude and when he was younger, the idea of touching them had actually been vile.
Funny how things change.
Here he was, drugged out of his mind, and attempting to pick up on the guy who was trying to help him. He did notice that the guy avoided answering that question. That never stopped Kiri from being persistent. He would get it out of the guy eventually. He was forced to readjust himself and the world around him when the guy adjusted to help him walk.
"Hopefully whatever the fuck this is will be gone by morning." He wasn't doing bad. Only a few stumbles here and there. "No idea what the hell they tossed in my drink. Forgot you can't trust that type of person no matter where the hell you are. Sucks to be them." He laughed and reached up for the back of his head. "Hey, I'm not bleeding or anything am I dude? I wacked my head good when I fell."
He moved his fingers away from the back of his skull, which felt odd but his fingers looked the normal color the gloves would have. Didn't mean that he hadn't cut his head open. He had been laying on the freezing ground for awhile. Cold had to speed the clotting process right? He winced. Thinking was hurting his mind more than he cared for it to.

Jase kept holding the guy up hearing him mumble about something in his drink. Jase just kept going on the path and when he heard the question of if he is bleeding, Jase took in a deep breath and could smell some dry blood due to the cold it dried up quickly. Jase started to smell the fresh sent of blood due to Kiritan rubbing some of the dried blood allowing fresh blood to flow out of the small cut. "No dude your fine," Jase says not being completely honest being that there is the lights on the pathway but not wanting to give away his secret.
As they reached Jase's apartment complex, Jase opened the door walking Kiritan through the door and to the elevator pushing the button to call the elevator from whichever floor to the ground floor. The elevator made a "ping" noise as the door opens up showing an empty elevator. Jase carried Kiritan into the elevator and pushed the number 3 button on the wall of buttons for the many different floors in the building. After waiting a while, about 45 seconds to a minute, the doors open again this time to a different floor. Jase then walks with Kiritan in his arms to the first door on the left. Jase sets Kiritan against the wall next to his door with the number 301 in wood numbers attached to the white colored door. Jase reached into his pants pulling out a small set of keys and picks a silver one and puts it into the door knob and turns the key to unlock the door. Swinging the door open he then picks Kiritan off the floor and walks in through a short hallway past the kitchen and living room with a small furniture and coffee table set and into the bedroom softly putting Kiritan on the bed.
