I am not the one that you should blame So take what I left you for the pain
Sleep. Sleep was what Cathan needed lately. He had been so tired for reasons unknown to him. He really wasn't doing anything to make him so sleepy. Well, except for staying up 'til 4 AM every night, studying his ass off, then waking up at 7 to take Carolanne where she was supposed to go and then coming home, attempting to get a little bit of sleep before having to get up, deal with his life, and go get his sister again. Fun, eh? That was Cathan's normal schedule. But today, Jack and Camille were going to take his little sister so Cathan could sleep. And Cathan was very grateful for this. He was snuggled up in his bed with his pokemon blanket. Yes, this eighteen year old was obsessed with Pokemon. But can you really blame him? I mean, come on! It's pokemon! The rulers of Saturday morning cartoons! Or..at least when he was younger it came on Saturday. He wasn't really sure now. He really didn't watch the show. He just obsessed with anything that had pokemon on it.
He was quite content, being curled up in his nice, warm and cozy bed, when he felt 30 pounds of evil jump on him. "réveillez-vous, Cathan, Réveillez-vous!" He heard being screamed at him by who ever was jumping on him. Cathan groaned and then forced his eyes open. "What do you want?!" He yelled at the girl. "Catttthhann! You have to take me to school!" Cathan rolled his eyes and then sat up. He was pissed because he was supposed to be sleeping instead of dealing with his sister. But he wasn't going to let her skip because it is oh so important to go to daycare and learn how to raise your hand and walk in a straight line. Cathan didn't understand the purpose of sending your child to Pre K. It was like...school before school....And they even went there on weekends!
He pushed Carolanne off his bed and then got up. She pouted but Cathan ignored her and walked over to his dresser. He pulled out his gray Alesana shirt that had the words 'this is the part where we're all supposed to scream' on it and then a pair of really light blue skinny jeans. Cathan loved brightly colored jeans. They were just soo pretty! He got dressed and then hurriedly straightened his hair. Once he was done with that. He grabbed his black and white slip on vans and his black and white fingerless gloves and put them on.
He walked into the kitchen to fix Carolanne something to eat before she left, but she had already gotten a bowl of cereal. Cathan waited on her to finish it up before he grabbed the keys to Jack's car, being he didn't want to drive his mom's mini van, and dashed out the door. And if Jack didn't like the fact that Cathan was driving his car, then Cathan would just pepper spray him. Okay, No he wouldn't..But he can have fantasies, right?
He buckled Carolanne in her car seat and then got in the driver's seat. He shoved the key into the ignition and sped off to where ever Carolanne was supposed to go. Once they were there, Cathan parked and then got out to un buckle Carolanne. He got her out and then locked the car up, making sure he had the keys before he did. He took Carolanne into where ever it was that she was supposed to go and then took off back to the car.
Once got in, put the key in the ignition once again, and then took off, half tempted to push the car over a cliff or something...But there were no cliffs around here. Hm. He pulled into the drive way of his family's house and then got out. He ran up the steps in hope that Jack was still asleep so he didn't know that Cathan took his car. He opened the door, only to find that Jack and his mother, Camille were both up.
Jack look a little pissed but that only made Cathan smile. He threw to keys to Jack, hoping he would catch them and if he didn't...Well, Cathan really didn't care. Once Jack caught them, Cathan smirked. "Your brakes are squeaking, Jack." He said and then ran up the stairs to his room. getting back in his, now cold bed. He was bored and there was no way in hell he could get back to sleep now that he had already been up for about thirty minutes. He wondered if Kat was up, and if not, he would just call and wake her up because he was bored.
He rolled over and grabbed his cell phone off the desk. Waiting until Jack and Camille left for work to call her. He laid in his bed for a little bit until he heard his mother yell bye and Cathan knew they were both gone, because Jack always left before Camille did. Cathan was all the sudden feeling a little sleepy, but he decided to call Kat against sleeping. He grabbed his phone again and scrolled through his contacts until he found Kat.
Hitting send, he listened to the phone ring about five times until hearing her voice mail. Once he heard the phone beep, he left a message. "Hey Kat. It's Cathan. I guess you're asleep or whatever. but I'm at home and bored. You should call me back or come over or whatever, I'll talk to you later.. I guess. Bye!"
Cathan really hadn't told her that he loved her yet. It wasn't because he didn't think he loved her. Hell, he knew he loved her. But being ' in love' is not something that happened with in a few days or even weeks of dating Call him old fashion, but that's how he rolls. He rolled over in his bed, waiting for her to call him back. He was bored out of his mind and that really wasn't a good thing. at all.

life is too short to think about anything that’s right and it’s you being by my side Kat jumped up in surprise as a pillow hit her face, waking her up from her sleep. Growling in annoyance, she grabbed at the pillow, removing it to see her mother standing in the doorframe to her room, glowering at the girl. ”What the fuck do you want?” The girl demanded, already wide awake even though she had been asleep just a minute ago. ”Don’t talk to your mother like that!” the woman screeched back, much to Kat’s continued annoyance. ”You’re not my mother. A mother would love her child, not beat the shit out of them,” came the junior’s steely reply, her eyes sharp as they stayed trained on the intruder of her sleep. The woman simply glared back at her daughter before storming off to another part of the house, her ranting about her “crazed daughter” audible from here. Now that the woman was gone, she started to shake, but she refused to cry over it. Nearly every encounter led the girl to shaking, nearly on the verge of tears, but she would never let them fall. She wouldn’t let her mother have the satisfaction of making her cry, whether the woman knew it or not.
She sunk back into her bed, pulling the covers back over her shaking form, clenching her eyes shut, trying to let sleep overcome her. But luck was not on her side. Even after thirty minutes, Kat hadn’t been able to fall asleep. With a groan, she got up and, after grabbing clothes from her dresser, shut herself in her bathroom to shower and change. She emerged from the room about a half an hour later, her blond and white hair straight and still damp. She’d straighten it later, of that she was sure. She was dressed in a white shirt with the words ‘Love’ written on the front. Her slender legs were clad in black skinny jeans, marked with white skulls all over. She currently wasn’t wearing any necklaces or bracelets as she usually did, but only because she wasn’t going anywhere. Not yet, anyways. Perhaps when she made plans to actually do something, she’d add those.
Grabbing her phone, Kat sighed, remembering the morning’s intrusion. It was hard to forget any time the mother and daughter had a confrontation, which was nearly everyday. Absentmindedly, she stroke the area around her most recent bruise as she flipped open her phone. Her face instantly brightened when it said she had a new voicemail. Although she didn’t know for sure, not yet, she was pretty sure she knew who it was from. With a happy grin on her lips, she quickly got to her voicemail, listening to the message Cathan had left for her. At the first sound of his voice, her stomach squeezed, but in a good way. One of those butterflies in your stomach deals. She nodded, even though he couldn’t see her at that very moment. Now she had somewhere to go, somewhere that wasn’t in this stupid house. Anything that was better than here was fine with her, and spending time with her boyfriend was definitely for the plus.
It was still hard to believe that he was now her boyfriend. That she even had a boyfriend. In all her seventeen years, she hadn’t had one until now. Neither had she been kissed or any such thing. And sure, she had crushes on guys, as any girl would, but nothing had ever come of any of them. Then she met Cathan. The boy was more on the silent side, but really cute, and she had quickly developed a crush on her friend. He was somebody that she could tell everything to. He knew her secrets, at least most of them. He didn’t know that she liked him. Well, not until she had told him the other day. But she had never told him so before, obviously. She simply wouldn’t think that he would like her back, and, rather than have her heart broken, she kept her attraction to him a secret. But now...now that she had told him...it turned out that he liked her back, much to her own surprise. And then he asked if she wanted them to be girlfriend-boyfriend. Obviously, she had agreed. Who wouldn’t? The chance to go out with someone you had liked for a while? Who would pass that up? So now, she was going out with her best friend; the guy she had liked a lot for several months, and she couldn’t be happier.
Grinning, she sent him a text message stating: Hey Cathan. I’ll be right over, anything to get outta this house, ya know. xD ttyl<3 She tucked the phone into her black bag that was marked with green clubs and spades as well as pink diamonds and hearts, grabbing a yellow and black belt and slipping it through her belt loops on her jeans. Looking over her collection of various accessories that sat atop her dresser, she picked out three necklaces, three bracelets, and a ring. One of the necklaces was on a silver sterling chain, with the word ‘Believe’ on it. Two of the necklaces were matching little scissors, the tops were different, one a neon green, the other pink. Her bracelets all were of the same beaded design, but were a basic bright blue, light blue, and white. Her ring was placed on her ring finger, a brown band topped by a blue disk with a smiley face with a wide mouth, vampire teeth, and one eyes that was an ‘x’. She never had less than three pieces of jewelry on her when she went out, and she definitely had more. Looking herself over, she went back into the shower to brush and straighten her hair. Upon re entering her room, she slipped on her cupcake converse and slipped a purple scarf around her neck. ”Good!” She said, approving her look. She grabbed her bag and slid the strap on her shoulder.
At the front door, she paused, looking back into the rest of the house. ”I’m going to Cathan’s!” she shouted, walking out the door, not caring if her mother heard or not. If the woman needed her, then she could call the girl. Kat winced as she stepped outside. She should’ve brought a jacket, too. Looking back at the house, she shrugged. She’d be fine. She wasn’t going too far. Besides, she’d be inside after that. So, instead, she simply wrapped her scarf around the bottom half of her face, over her mouth and nose. Hey, it made that part of her face warmer, so why not? Shivering slightly, she made her way over to Cathan’s. Luckily for her, the richer district of town wasn’t so far away from the middle class homes where she lived. It was close enough that she wasn’t bothered with taking the car. Besides, her mother would probably bitch and moan about her taking it, so she was better off walking, that was for sure.
Having arrived at the house, she noticed that his mom and stepdad weren’t home. Probably at work. She grinned. Of course Cathan would prefer the two to not be here. It made sense. She wondered, briefly, if he had told his parental figures about the two of them, then shrugged. It was his business whether or not he told them, really. Opening the door, she called out, ”CAATTTHAAANNN!” A wide grin was placed upon her lips. She closed the door to his house behind her as she dragged down her scarf so that it was no longer covering any part of her face. She had been here before enough to know that she could just come in. Well, so long as Jack, his stepdad, and his mother weren’t around. Then it’d be slightly awkward. But when it was just him, she could. She easily mounted the stairs, approaching his room.
Entering the room, she smiled as another happy tug squeezed her insides at the simple sight of him. Oh, wonders how the sight of someone could do such a thing to a person. She skipped lightly over to him, dropping her bag next to the door. ”Hey there,” she said softly with a smile. She plopped onto the bed next to him, her hand easily placing itself on top of his head, ruffling his hair slightly as she gave him a teasing grin. ”So, mister bored, what have you in mind for curing said boredom?” she inquired, grinning, happy to be in his presence. Being here...just being around him made her happy. Made everything just feel...right. She didn’t know why. Not at all. Perhaps it was because she really did love him. She wasn’t sure. Well, she was halfway sure that she was, but she had the insecurities about such a thing any normal teenager would have. She wouldn’t admit it to him. Not yet. She was stubborn, and wouldn’t admit anything until she was sure of it herself. Besides, it was early in their relationship, and wasn’t the point in which they could spout their admissions of love without doubting the statement was real. Besides, she didn’t believe any teenager could be in love so soon. At least, not at the point to say it. Such were the odd things of teenage relationships. ”Wanna go out somewhere or just hang here?”

Oh my dear, what have I gone and done now? It's curtain call, I'm about to take my last bow
Boredom was a really funny thing. It sometimes made people to do what they never thought they would. Weather it be sky diving or killing someone. Now, Cathan didn't know why someone would kill someone out of boredom, but he was sure someone had.... at one point in time, maybe. He really didn't know or care. But he knew that he was bored beyond belief and Kat hadn't returned his call. He turned around, trying to get a little bit of sleep but no luck. He felt the single faint vibration of his cell phone, signaling a text messaged and slowly sat up to grab it off of the dresser. He looked at the small screen and flipped it open to see to who it was from. It was from Kat.
He hit reply and turned his phone around so he could use the keyboard. "Haha, Okay <3" He pressed send and put the phone back in his pocket, making sure to lock the touch screen so he didn't accidentally call anyone. He did that one, it was weird. He sat down and then heard someone screaming 'Helllloooo?!?" in the phone. So, from now on, he locked the touch screen on front of his phone. He figured he needed to make himself presentable if Kat was coming over.
He rolled off of his bed and walked to his dresser and found his eye liner and lip rings. He skipped into his bathroom and leaned in on the counter a little bit so he could see himself in the mirror. He un capped the black stick of eye liner and ran a thin line around the bottom of his eyes. He then stood on top of the toilet so he could reach the cabinet about the toilet that held a small bottle of rubbing alcohol.
He grabbed it in his hands and the jumped off of the toilet. He poured a small cap full of alcohol and dropped both rings into it so it would dis infect them and keep his lip from getting infected. How gross would that be? Ew. While he was waiting, he walked and grabbed a bandanna out of his drawer and tied it around his neck like he usually did. He ran his hand through his hair and walked back into the small bathroom.
He picked the first ring up and wiped it off on a clean towel. It put it through the hole and then secured it. He repeated the process with the other ring and then poured the alcohol out of the lid and into the sink. He re capped the bottle and left it on the sink. He didn't feel like standing on top of the toilet again. He walked back into his room and began to make his bed. He hated doing it, but it was one thing he couldn't go without. He might have been able to have his room be a wreck all the time, but his bed had to be made.
Once it was all nice and pretty again, he jumped onto it and waited for Kat. After a few minutes of waiting, he heard a feminine voice call his name. He guessed it was Kat because it didn't sound like his mom and his mom didn't stretch his name out for 5 seconds. ”CAATTTHAAANNN!” She yelled. "I'm in my room!" Cathan yelled back, not feeling like going down stairs to greet her.
She entered his room and he gave a slight smile. She plopped down on the bed beside him and ruffled his hair. "Quit!" He shrieked, fixing his hair back to where it was. he hated people messing with his hair. It took him forever to do. But, it if was anyone besides Kat messing up his hair, he would have gotten really mad. But he just didn't have it in him to get really mad at Kat.
”So, mister bored, what have you in mind for curing said boredom?” Cathan drew his lips to the side of mouth and looked like he was thinking really hard. "Hmm, I don't know, Miss Kat. What do you have in mind?" He asked in a quiet, soft voice. ”Wanna go out somewhere or just hang here?” Cathan really didn't care.
"We could go out..." He started. "But staying in is always a pleasant idea too." He finished. He really didn't know what he wanted to do, so he would just let Kat decided. Cathan was a pretty indecisive person. He hated making decisions. It was more like he couldn't make decisions. He always felt like he was going to hurt a person one way or another with decisions

home's not just the place you dwell in; it's also the feeling you get when you talk to that someone on the phone Boredom was a horrid, horrid thing, and Kat hated being bored with a passion. Boredom led her to...pretty odd place and situations. She’d do completely random things [even more random than her usual activities] and whine about being bored. That was the thing with boredom; it made Kat whine. She normally never whined. Ever. She just wasn’t the kind of person to whine about something, but boredom somehow made her do it. It was an odd occurrence, it was true, to hear her whine, but it happened, and she wasn’t happy about that fact. She would rather be incapable of whining than whining only in one general instance. And in instance that she hated. She hated being bored, besides the fact that it made her whine. She was a generally indecisive person, and had a hard time choosing things, so she was bored more often than those that weren’t indecisive. A sad fact, but true. Boredom often brought out a bad side in her, one she didn’t like other people really seeing, so she often tried to get them to decide on something to do, being that she wasn’t often bored along. And if she was, then she tried to get someone to hang out with. Usually worked to cure boredom.
As she walked down the street, shivering slightly from the cold, she heard the ringtone from her phone that signaled a text message sound in her bag. She instantly stuck her hand in the bag and pulled out her phone, smiling affectionately as she looked at the message. She didn’t reply, for she didn’t think it needed much of a reply at the moment. All she would’ve replied with would be pretty much identical to the one she had just received from him. She smiled fondly at the screen for another second before turning the phone on vibrate and placed it back in her bag. Unless he was impatient [which she didn’t know him to be], she wouldn’t receive another call or text message from him, and that was all she cared about right now. If someone called, she was pretty sure she’d be able to hear the vibrations, and would simply glance to see who was calling or texting her. If it was important, she’d look at it. If not, then she’d ignore it. Simple as that.
Biting her lip, she looked back down at herself, wondering vaguely if she looked presentable enough for him. She still couldn’t help but be fascinated by the fact that he liked her. He liked her. It was a hard thought to process, if you asked her. She had never thought that she would be good enough to be his girlfriend. It wasn’t that she didn’t have self-esteem, although hers was lower than most people’s, due to the fact that her mother called her worthless upon many occasions, and it had stuck, although she tried to let that go. She tried to believe in herself more, but it was hard, after years of her mother saying such things. Back to the subject. Her self-esteem had little to with her feeling that she wasn’t good enough for Cathan. Maybe it was the fact that she thought of him as higher than her, and, therefore, unreachable. Unobtainable. Obviously, that was untrue, seeing as how the two were now going out, but she still didn’t was a bit unsure of the whole thing. She was never sure if she was enough for him, and worried about her appearance. Kat looked down at her shirt, wondering if she should have worn something a bit nicer, but dismissed the thought, trying to not let that state of mind affect her too much.
A slight nervous feeling tugged inside Kat as she went ahead and entered the house. It was barely noticeable, but there was a difference from the last time she had come here and done such a thing. She wasn’t entering her friend’s house as she had last time, although he was still her friend. But he was more. He was her boyfriend, and she was entering his house. It wasn’t just another friendly visit, although it was sure to be friendly. But they weren’t just friends anymore. They were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. There was more than simple friendship, and there was a bit of a difference felt as she closed the front door behind her. A light grin appeared on her lips as he replied to her. She couldn’t help but let that silly adoring grin appear upon her face whenever she heard him, saw him, or anything that involved him. She could be compared to a lovesick puppy in this way, the way she couldn’t stop such a happy expression cross her face at the mere mention of Cathan. Perhaps she really was in love with him. But she didn’t want to think about that right now; it was too early.
As she mounted the steps, she couldn’t help but look back down at her outfit, nervous once more. Kat was about to go in and let him see her. What if he didn’t like what she was wearing? Or what if he had reconsidered the whole boyfriend/girlfriend deal? What if he was simply toying with her emotions? Yes, Kat had insecurities, but didn’t every teenager, especially when dealing with the object of their affection? ”You look fine,” she scolded herself in her thoughts, tugging on the bottom of her shirt to make sure no wrinkles would show in the fabric. She sighed lightly as she reached the second floor, ready to face him.
As she entered his room, she noticed a soft smile on his features, and couldn’t help but enjoy the fact that he was happy. That was pretty much what she wanted; for him to be happy. She didn’t like it when Cathan was anything but happy, or in some form as such. Anything but something on the dark side of emotions; anger, sadness, depression, rage...anything but something like that. Contentment, happiness, and excitement was what she liked to read from Cathan’s expressions, and was always happy herself when he felt one of those emotions. ”It’s cold as fuck out there,” she stated as she set her bag down. A light laugh escaped from her lips as he shrieked for her to not mess up her hair. As he fixed it back in place, she combed her fingers through it, helping him slightly put it back in place. A light smirk lighted upon her lips as she did so, looking at him fondly.
A grin quickly replaced her smirk as he made the expression of thinking hard. The look was obviously one that he had simply put on his face for fun. She could tell that he really wasn’t thinking that hard, but the expression was adorable, as she thought everything on him was. She shrugged lightly in response to his comment. ”Well, you, Mister Bored, were the one who wanted to do something, so I do believe the choice is up to you,” she replied softly, chewing her bottom lip. She knew that he was indecisive as well, and that might provide a slight problem with the two. If they couldn’t think of something interesting to do, then she would probably get bored and start whining. And she definitely didn’t want Cathan to see and hear her whining; it wasn’t pretty. Nor was it attractive, she was sure.
She nodded along with him. ”Yeah...” she trailed off as he continued. ”That’s true...both could provide something interesting to do...” She bit her lower lip, chewing it slightly. Her mind searched for something the two could do that would provide the two with entertainment; something that would prevent boredom. ”Well...there’s always card or board games or something we could play...We could just talk...uhmmm...that’s all the ideas I have for now. You have any?” Yeah, her ideas were pretty lame, but she was still a child at heart, although more of an adult in spirit. She got enjoyment from simply things, and was distracted pretty easily. Kat glanced over at Cathan with a slight apologetic smile on her lips, shrugging lightly.

Cries escape your sweet voice As I kiss you one last time
If there was one thing in the world that Cathan hated most (besides his step dad and old people driving cars) It would be whining. That's one thing he loved about Kat. She didn't whine about her problems. She would simply talk about them. The one thing that Worried Cathan is that she never cried about them, at least in front of Cathan she didn't. Why would this worry our young emo boy? Well, when someone never cried about something, it meant that they were internally afraid of it. And Cathan knew she was a little scared and Cathan wanted to be there to hold her and make her feel like she was protected, but Cathan couldn't even protect himself from his own emotions.
Cathan wasn't a whiner himself. He cried more then anything. The worst thing about it was that he couldn't control it. He hated it. Something was bothering him, then he would just start crying in the middle of the store. He hated people seeing how vulnerable he was. People often took advantage of that. One of the reasons that Cathan never had any friends. When he was younger, he went the therapy for it, but no one could figure it out. Cathan just accepted the face that he wasn't strong enough to hide his emotions like most boys could, even some girls.
Kat talked about how cold it was and Cathan pouted. "Well, it's quite warm beside me." He said with a nod. She plopped on the bed beside him and he turned on his side and wrapped his arms around her. She helped him fix his hair back and he shook his head. It was something wired he always did after he fixed his hair. It was like a dog after you give them a bath.
”Well, you, Mister Bored, were the one who wanted to do something, so I do believe the choice is up to you,” Cathan pouted once again. "You're no help, Kat." He said, laying his head down on the pillow. ”That’s true...both could provide something interesting to do". Cathan nodded up and down. "I don't have a car and I really don't feel like walking " He mumbled. He hated walking with a passion.
”Well...there’s always card or board games or something we could play...We could just talk...uhmmm...that’s all the ideas I have for now. You have any?" He heard Kat's voice say. she had such a pretty voice. Maybe it was more pretty to him because she was the object of his affection. "Mmhmm." Cathan said to her question. "We could just lay her and talk." He said. He was quite comfy in the position he was in now.
Any other boy would take this chance to get into their girlfriend's pants but Cathan wasn't like that. He had a lot of respect for girls and plus, Cathan hadn't even kissed anyone before, so do you really think he was ready for that? Yes, the eighteen year old had never been kissed. He was pretty sure Kat hadn't either. He remembered her saying something about that, but he wasn't sure.

’cause when i’m folding you are holding on so that i know you’re near Kat never cried. Or, at least she tried not to. Not about her problems, of which she had many. If she cried, then it would mean that her mother got to her, and she wouldn’t let the woman have that satisfaction. Even when her mother was nowhere near the girl, she wouldn’t cry about it, because then Kat herself would have to live with the fact that her mother won, whether or not she knew it. She wouldn’t let that happen; she wouldn’t cry about it. Sometimes, she didn’t even really want to talk about it, especially in front of her friends, because she hated seeing people be sad, especially about her. She wasn’t that special; she didn’t deserve such friends that she had. She didn’t deserve her friends, didn’t deserve to have Cathan as her boyfriend. And she especially didn’t deserve to have friends that were sincerely worried for her. Kat truly never thought of herself as anything special, she didn’t think she was enough to be worried about.
Cathan was different than her in that, she knew, but she didn’t mind the difference. Cathan was more emotional than she was, and she personally found that rather adorable. Of course, she didn’t really want him to be sad, in any case, but she would always be there to help cheer him up. Even before they had started dating, although that was obvious, as they had only got together a few days before, she had always been there for him. If he was down, Kat would try to cheer him up. She hated to see her friends down, especially Cathan, and she didn’t want to see him cry, or know that he was crying, whether or not she found it rather cute. Maybe she was weird for thinking that it was cute. Who in the world thought that their boyfriend crying was kind of cute? Her, obviously, but other than that? She definitely was a weirdo, there’s no denying that.
A soft smile graced her lips at his words. ”I’m sure it is,” she replied, her smile still on her lips, her expression warm as she gazed at him. It was a wonder that he could make such emotions bubble within her so quickly. Just the sight of him, or even the sound of his voice, elicited feelings of excitement, happiness, and simple pure joy. There was also that feeling, the feeling that was similar to one of love. Although, for all she knew, it could be love. She was just a simple teenager, one who had never fallen in love as far as she knew, one who hadn’t even dated before a few days ago. How could she know what love is? How could she identify the feeling of love? No matter, she did have a feeling of, at least, great like for him. She lightly leaned against him as he wrapped his arms around him, smiling in contentment. As he shook his head, she grinned lightly. Really, she didn’t know why he did that, for it had been fixed just moments before, and now it just went back to being somewhat messy, but it didn’t matter.
A light smirk crept upon the edge of her lips at his pout, that pout that was so adorable, or at least in her eyes. She bit her lip slightly at his remark. She knew that he didn’t mean that she truly was never any help in anything, that she was just horrible or anything, but that was what her mind immediately went to. It was her stupid problem with self-esteem. She didn’t have the lowest of the low self-esteem, but she definitely had problems with it, thinking that she wasn’t worth much. It was all thanks to her horrid mother, the woman who blamed the girl for everything. She shook her head slightly to rid the thought of it being her fault from her head, sticking her tongue out shortly after in response. ”I know. I’m such a horrible person.” Her voice, obviously, held a tone of teasing. She didn’t really think of herself as a horrible person. Now that would be some low self-esteem. She shrugged lightly with his next comment. ”I don’t have a car either, unless you count my mother’s, and if you don’t feel like walking, then I guess going outside wouldn’t be the best of plans, yes?” Although, she did know his dislike of walking in general, so it wasn’t a surprise that he didn’t want to do that particular thing.
Kat waited as he murmured his affirmative to her inquiry. She loved being here, in his presence, knowing that he liked her in the way she liked him. It wasn’t that she hadn’t liked being in his presence before, because she did, but it was so much better now that she knew his feelings for her. It was so much better to hang around him now, because she knew that fact. At his idea for the two of them, she smiled softly at him. ”That,” she remarked, “is a brilliant idea. Sounds perfect to me.” She certainly didn’t mind spending some quality time around him, around her new boyfriend. Besides, she was in a rather comfortable position, and didn’t really want to get up anytime soon.
She knew that, by now, most guys would try to get into the girl’s pants in such a position as thing. But another thing Kat knew was that neither of them was prepared for something like that. Well, not as far as she knew, in any case. She wasn’t prepared, though, that was for sure. There would be a while before she was. She hadn’t even had a boyfriend before, much less done anything more than simply cuddle. She was seventeen years old and hadn’t kissed a guy before, it was true. Honestly, though, she didn’t particularly care. She wasn’t the type to go chasing after guys. Why would she? If she were to have someone, then they’d come, and that was that. She didn’t chase after dreams that would probably end in disaster. In any case, she was pretty sure that Cathan had mentioned before that he hadn’t kissed anyone before, but that might be her screwed up memory talking. But whatever. ”So...how’ve you been?” She inquired, not really knowing what the two could talk about. Yeah, she was pretty hopeless in all of this.
